Question #6: Fellow St. Louis resident's. What are your feeling toward's 'special-personalized plates' such as.....?
.....Cancer, Children, Route 66, Cardinals, POW etc. along with a personal saying. I'm sure you've seen them.
I mean, when you see someone with that do you like it or do you think it draws too much attention? The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of getting the 'Route 66' plate. The requirements are that you have to donate $20.00 to the Mo. state travel fund which mean's the money goes to promoting MO. state tourism like commercials etc. etc. Then send the receipt with the application......
I typically don't keep personalized plates longer than the 2 year registration just because.....plus you can change to a random plate any time at the DMV. HOWEVER, this would be my 1st "special" plate.
Thanks.

Question #11: What's there to see along Route 66?
Next summer, I'm packing up my '79 VW Bus and taking a little while to ride Roue 66. I want to take more than a few days (actually was planning to spend at least two or three months out there) to see everything I can. It's always been my dream.
I'm in Colorado, so I'm planning on taking the interstate to Cali. and start in Santa Monica. It's closer that IL.
Have you ever traveled The Mother Road? What should I not miss, under any circumstances? What are some reliable maps/books/website I can use to help plan my trip? What sort of things were you not prepared for?
Anything, tips or stories, ANYTHING is appreciated!
